This policy explains what data WakaruAI collects and how we use it.

1. Data we collect

Email and password (encrypted) when you create an account, or your name/email if you sign up with Google. We also store your study progress (kanji, vocabulary, grammar, review history) and your messages to the AI chat tutor.

2. How we use your data

To provide the service, track your study progress, process payments, and respond to your AI tutor conversations.

3. Who we share data with

• Lemon Squeezy — processes subscription payments (receives your email and payment data).
• Google — if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Google Gemini — processes your AI chat messages to generate responses.
• Resend — sends account verification emails.

We do not sell your data to third parties for advertising.

4. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a cookie to remember your preferred language. We don't use advertising tracking cookies.

5. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data by writing to wakaruai@gmail.com.
